The Shamrock’n half marathon was my first run this year. I did not train as much as I normally would but my competitive spirit always pulls me through. At one point during the run I thought to myself “why did I sign up for this”? When I crossed the finish line I felt a sense of accomplishment and burning almost 1,000 calories is a bonus.
The weather was chilly in the morning but after the first two miles I started to warm up. Looking back I should have worn a different tank top. I would have been a little more comfortable in a thicker top. My obsession with matching my running outfit led me to be colder than I needed to be that morning, lesson learned. I’ve already signed up for my next run.
